Shelly Wolf Breakey is a Senior Insolvency Estate Administrator with the Kamloops BDO office. Prior to joining BDO in January 2012, Shelly worked for another National Insolvency firm in Kamloops for approximately 7.5 years. Shelly was a legal assistant before entering the financial recovery services field, and her extensive legal knowledge in the areas of Family Law, Wills and Estates, Criminal, Corporate Law and Civil Litigation facilitated a natural fit with her career change.
As a certified Insolvency Administrator and Counselor, Shelly assists financially troubled individuals and businesses through the initial assessment stage, as well as the administration of proposals and bankruptcies. Shelly also provides counseling for individual debtors to aid them on the way to financial recovery.
In the past, Shelly has held several workshops for the Y Willow Tree Program in Kamloops. This community program provides services for women who are dealing with barriers to independence as a result of violence, abuse and/or trauma in their lives. Shelly has also done budgeting and money management workshops with the Kamloops Indian Band, Kamloops, Brain Injury Association and Interior Community Services.
